Adjustable welding current of AC welding machine
Jan 14, 2019

In order to meet the welding requirements of different materials and thicknesses, the welding current can be adjusted from several tens of amps to several hundred amps, and the required current value can be arbitrarily adjusted according to the thickness of the workpiece and the diameter of the electrode used. The current adjustment is generally divided into two levels: the first stage is a coarse adjustment, and the connection of the output line head (I position connection or II position connection) is commonly changed, thereby changing the number of turns of the internal coil to achieve a large range of current adjustment. It should be carried out under the condition of cutting off the power to prevent electric shock; the other level is fine adjustment, which is commonly used to change the "movable iron core" (moving iron core type) or "movable coil" (moving coil type) in the electric welder. The position is used to achieve the required current value. The fine adjustment operation is realized by rotating the handle. When the handle rotates counterclockwise, the current value increases, the current decreases when the handle rotates clockwise, and the fine adjustment should be performed under no-load condition. The range of coarse and fine adjustment of various types of welding machines can be found on the label.
