Welded Gloves Are Designed To Withstand High Temperatures During Welding

Welded gloves are personal protective equipment for the purpose of preventing high temperature, molten metal, and sparking (burning) hands during welding. Generally, cow and pig suede are used to make five-finger, three-finger and two-finger gloves. It comes with a 450px canvas or leather sleeve. The quality of the welder's glove product shall comply with the LD34.3-92 standard.

1. Material requirements: Appearance: The first-class leather is thin and even, full and soft and elastic, and the leather is fine, uniform, firm and consistent in color. No greasy feeling; the second-grade leather body lacks fullness and elasticity, the leather surface is rough, and the color is slightly dark.

2. The thickness of leather and canvas should meet the requirements. Mechanical properties should be in accordance with the regulations. Leather for the palm and back of the hand should be soft, strong and uniform in thickness. The leather for the sleeve should be slightly elastic. Chemical properties should be in accordance with the regulations.

3. Sewing: The hand shape should be positive, the stitching should be straight and flat, the stitch length should be well-proportioned, and the tightness should be moderate. If there is a broken needle, when the needle is continuously missing or jumped, the needle should be re-stitched or the defective stitch should be removed to re-sewn.

Welding gloves belong to electric welding and labor protection products. Their functions are as follows:

1: Prevent electric shock. The welder's gloves in the welding process protect the welding personnel from electric shock. Take the welding arc welding machine as an example. The no-load voltage is generally between 50V and 90V. Compared to the 36V AC safe voltage, the no-load voltage of the welder is also a dangerous voltage for the welding operator. Therefore, the welder's gloves must reach a safe withstand voltage of 3000V.

2: Prevent burning and burns. Except for tungsten argon arc welding, there is no spatter. Other types of welding have spatters that may cause burning and burns to the hands and wrists of the welding operator. Welder gloves use a fur material to effectively isolate the welding spatter from burning and scalding the welding operator's hands and wrists. In addition, the welding arc is a source of harmful light, and the glove can also effectively isolate the radiation of harmful light to the opponent and the wrist.

Welding gloves should be made of wear-resistant, radiant-resistant leather or cotton canvas and leather composite materials. The length should not be less than 300 mm. To be sewed, the welder should not wear damaged or wet gloves. When the welder is working in a conductive place where welding is possible, the safety protective equipment used should be made of insulating material (or additional insulating layer) and can be used after passing the test with a withstand voltage of 5000V.
